This Friday we met Adara O’Blaney coming home for the weekend from Philadelphia! A senior at the University of Pennsylvania, Adara wanted to have a relaxing weekend with her family just before the stressful start of finals week.
In her sophomore year of high school, Adara and her family moved from Verona, New Jersey to Vestal, New York. She spoke warmly of the change, claiming it was “drastic at first but so easy to acclimate to the friendly, comfortable atmosphere of Vestal.”
Adara has always been passionate about saving the environment and, after graduating this May she plans to work in D.C. with a non-profit organization focusing on making a greener, cleaner planet. Adara believes the Nature Preserve located on the Binghamton University campus has definitely contributed to her love of nature and dedication to helping the environment. She says it’s her favorite spot in Binghamton, “the Preserve is beautiful all year round. In fact, whenever my friends visit it’s the first place I take them!”
