Humans Of BGM: Dave Clark

Today we met up with Dave Clark – an employee at the Greater Binghamton Airport for over five years! Dave grew up in Vestal and used to work for IBM in Endicott. While there, he flew out of BGM quite frequently. This caused him to become very familiar with the airport and take an interest in working here. He’s now the Airport Garage Supervisor, and works for the rental car companies located here at BGM! (Funny how that worked out!)

With his time at the airport, Dave’s seen the transformation of BGM into a bigger and better space. When he first started he was especially excited to see that they were expanding the garage to accommodate two full-size carwashes – so if you drop your car off you can return to a car that looks brand new!

Dave thinks the summer season is the best time to fly BGM. He expressed, “That’s when you can enjoy the Southern Tier in all it’s warm weather glory!” While Binghamton winters may be harsh, or what Dave describes as, “living in the arctic,” flyers can warm up inside the airport. With the much anticipated opening of Binghamton Brewing Co. at BGM, this sounds like a great idea!

Thanks for chatting with us, Dave!
