Flying First Class Without Breaking the Bank

Who hasn’t dreamed of peace and quiet throughout a flight? Everyone deserves to fly in luxury at least once!  From the food upgrades and additional comfort to the quiet space, upgrading is worth a shot.  Escape the crowded, loud coach class and take a chance on flying in style.  Check out these tips on upgrading to first class for free or little cost!

Use your miles to upgrade your seat.  If seats are not sold you could get an upgrade worth waiting for.  Be flexible with upgrading last minute; airlines often give first-class seats away near departure.

Become a frequent flyer!  Airlines are more likely to reward a customer who is signed up for their program than one who is not.  It may take some time to earn your upgrade, but it will be worth it!

Ask about last minute upgrades when you get to the airport.  Airlines do not want first class seats to go to waste!  If you don’t ask, you’ll never know!

Voluntarily leave an overbooked flight.  If you are not in a rush and volunteer to change flights, you have more room to negotiate.  If no one else volunteers and you are the only one, you are likely to get a great bargain.  You could be rewarded with flight vouchers or first class travel on the next available flight!

If you are looking to open a new credit card account, open a travel rewards credit card.  You could use air miles for free upgrades or the cost of a ticket.

Don’t be shy!  If there is something wrong with your flight experience then file a complaint.  From a broken seat or TV to lost luggage, when there is an inconvenience the customer is always right.  If you bring it to their attention through a complaint, (in an appropriate manner) you could get vouchers including flight upgrade deals. First-Class-Award-Travel-12

You can be cheap and fly first class!  It may take some patience and time, but once you get the upgrade it will be well worth it!  Sit back, relax and enjoy your flight!
