A Moment of Silence for September 11th

“What separates us from the animals, what separates us from the chaos, is our ability to mourn people we’ve never met.”

–David Levithan: “Love is the Higher Law.”

14 Years. 14 Years have gone by, but every year since the tragedy of September 11th 2001 Americans take time to remember the many lives lost on this day.

This morning, at 8:46 am, the time that the first plane struck the North Tower of the World Trade Center, the TSA members lead the airport staff in a moment of silence for those who were in the towers, planes, and those responders who put others first.

Head of TSA, Catherine Salazar thanked her team for their service and asked her members to take a little extra time today to thank passengers, smile and show special care for those fliers taking off today at BGM.

The team at BGM took a moment to bow their heads in silence before the day began to remember all of those who were innocent as well as those heroes who gave their lives to protect others. Today we honor their service and remember their sacrifice.
