Pillars of the Community

Today County Executive Debbie Preston launched the Pillars of the Community Campaign at Greater Binghamton Airport. Debbie along with Carl Beardsley, Commissioner of Aviation, were joined by the first-class businesses who sponsorships will be on display throughout the airport.

“The Greater Binghamton Airport is the first place visitors experience when coming to our region: it’s important that tourist are greeted by strong messages of commerce, education and innovation” said Broome County Executive Debbie Preston. “The Pillars of the Community Campaign is also a creative way to generate additional revenue for the airport, as we continue to provide outstanding air service and the best visitor experience possible at BGM.”

Eleven local businesses and organizations make up the premiere group of sponsors and were recognized at today’s event. They included:

Binghamton Philharmonic
Security Mutual
Davis College
Broome Community College
Binghamton University
Binghamton Senators
Dick’s Sporting Goods
Maines Paper & Food Service
Raymond Corporation
 and M&T Bank

It’s great to see the community support in this program and to see the added colors around the airport. A complete photo album from todays event will be available on the airport’s facebook page.
