You may have noticed that over the last several months there have been some great upgrades to the BTRP at Greater Binghamton Airport. What business traveler does not like upgrades?
It’s hard to believe that the BTRP program at BGM is 10 years old. Our program was the first of its kind for regional airports and set the gold standard for rewarding frequent travelers for their loyalty.
We decided that the time is right to bring new gifts and a fresh new look to the program. The 2012 make over includes:
- More AIRLINE FREQUENT FLIER MILES
- New flyBGM Luggage Strap for Silver level
- New BGM Pocket Hook at the Gold level
- $25 gift card to Little Venice Restaurant for Platinum Members
- Free Parking and coffee/newspapers will still be given with each level.
Other special events and giveaways will be planned in the future for our BTRP members. We thank you for your loyalty and appreciate you making BGM your airport of choice. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to make your BGM experience better.

Good news for those of you coming to the airport from Chenango Bridge, Castle Creek, Whitney Point and Greene, Commercial Drive is once again open!! Commercial Drive is the road that connects West Chenango Road with Airport Road and is ideal for those passengers visiting us from the Chenango area.
The construction crews did a great job building up the road. Watch our video to see the new Commercial Drive layout.
Thank you for your patience during the construction. Please note: the new traffic pattern requires our travelers to be aware of their speed in the twist and turns of the new road. Please be especially careful during the snowy weather.

For several months BGM and its stakeholders have been working together to develop a new mission statement as a part of an overall strategic plan. This new mission statement defines who we want to be and what we want to achieve.
Stakeholders are those individuals who have an interest in the future of the airport. The groups included representatives from the airlines, the Broome County Department of Aviation, local business travelers, area leisure travelers, the Airport Advisory Board and Broome County Government to name a few.
After gathering input from the stakeholders, the mission statement that was created reads:
We are committed to being your airport of choice by creating the ultimate airport customer experience.
BGM strives to be a regional economic partner dedicated to providing exceptional value to our customers and the community through convenient transportation services and modern facilities that consistently exceed expectations.
Be on the look-out for more information about BGM’s strategic plan. We will be releasing a new Vision Statement and a link to the final strategic plan in the future.
